A true original of the scene and now in his 24th year of professional DJ’ing, this charming lad started out in1993 in his hometown of Manchester, gaining spots at “Flesh” at the Hacienda, “Vague” in Leeds and “Trash” in Sheffield. He then became resident at Manchester’s Holy City Zoo in 1995 before a move to London in 1997 to become promotions manager at Jive records then Defected Records.
In November 2002 Danny Tenaglia personally invited Guy to play at his Be Yourself night at Arc, NYC. By 2003 he was selected by Radio 1 to do the “Essential Mix” drawing a massive response and raised his profile even more.
Guy has been playing regularly in NYC alongside The Carry Nation and a regular at Vandam in 2013/2014
The list of residencies and appearances since is stuff of legend. regular guest spots at parties such as The Gallery and Together at Turnmills, Rulin at Ministry Of Sound, Misdemeanors and Superchumbo at the End, Gatecrasher at Heaven, Pin-Up Club Sheffield and many, many more are just some of the stand-out parties on what is a very long and envious CV.
Internationally he has played around the globe, Ibiza, (resident at WE Love- Space, Ministry Of Sound, Trade & guest spots at Manumission/Pacha and more) NYC/San Francisco/Toyko/Paris/Berlin/Zurich/Milan/Florence/Moscow/Poland and more
Guy has held residencies at DTPM, Ministry Of Sound, Trade, A;M, Beyond, Fiction, Discotec, Wild Fruit, Nobu and more recently at East Bloc & Savage meaning that he is one of the few DJ’S to cross over on both the straight and Gay/mixed scenes
He is a versatile DJ holding more downtempo residencies at the world famous Nobu London for 8 years and also is a now resident at Chiltern Firehouse and Sketch
He programs the DJS and plays himself for High Road House Chiswick/Shoreditch House for the Soho House Group and also programs for the Gaucho group, The Oyster Shed, and Grind London
So he is just as comfortable playing soul, funk, disco and 80’s as he is rocking a dance floor with Disco & Deep and Tech House
Guy is a very hardworking promoter in his own right having launched “Black Rabbit” with Justin Robertson in 2007 followed by “Paradise 45” with Thomas Gandey of Caged Baby/Southern Fried fame and is behind the massive West Side Story Carnival parties in west London over 2 days of the August bank holiday weekend.
More recently Guy has launched SHADE with Josh Caffe and held a number of rocking parties at the Ace Hotel London and Motherloadwith D Ramirez at East End underground club East Bloc and for 2018 is launching ‘Flash’ at Pikes, Ibiza, a gay/mixed party that is about to take the Island by storm!
Guy is also a dab-hand when it comes to music production. As well as solo efforts, he is one half of “Paradise 45” with Thomas Gandey and also nu-disco act “The Shack” with Dan Williams and has had a number of solo releases out on various labels including DTPM Recordings/Wax Habit/ Southeast Recordings & Faze Action
In September of 2015 Guy teamed up with legendary producer D Ramirez and their ‘Motherload ep’ was signed to Great Stuff (Berlin) and reached the top 30 of both the Beatport and Traxsource Charts
The ’Solid Gold Ep’ by the pair was recently released, is in the Top 50 Tech House Chart of Beatport and has support across the board from Groove Armada, to Horse Meat Disco to Sven Vath
