FAQs

For Spaced Out Weekend at The Wild Wood

Where is Horseheath Racecourse?

Horseheath Racecourse, Linton, Cambs, CB21 4QP

The racecourse entrance is on the south side of the A1307 between Linton and Horseheath.

Your SATNAV will lead you on the wrong side of the dual carriageway, but there is a crossing point to the entrance opposite.  You should spot the road signs. The Wild Wood Disco is occupying a small woodland in the middle of the site. Please follow the signs from the entrance.

Do I need to print out my ticket?

To gain access to the site you will need to show your ticket barcode.  This can be on your phone or on a print out.  We have security at the gate on the access road so please be ready to show them your ticket here,  and you will need it again at the box office to get your wristband.  You will not gain access to the site without your ticket. Anyone found inside the event without a wristband will be removed.

What time do the gates open?

Gates open at 4pm on the Friday and 10am on the Saturday and Sunday

Can I bring alcohol?

No alcohol is permitted into the Wild Wood that has not been purchased from one of our bars. We will have security on the box office who will confiscate alcohol if you attempt to bring it in to the woods. There must be absolutely no glass brought onsite at all, even in the car park or campsite.  Horses and other animals will be on the grass soon after our event.  A small amount of alcohol in cans can be brought into the campsite area, no more than 4 cans per person.

Is there an age restriction?

This event is aimed at adults apart from the Sunday which is suitable for over 10s.  We've restricted children due to social distancing measures.  If you'd really like to bring children then e-mail us at hello@thewildwooddisco.com and we'll see what we can do.

Challenge 25 is in place in our bars.

Transport options

Cars can be left overnight at no extra charge, there is no parking fee. North and East London are only just over an hour away, Cambridge is half an hour away.  The closest train station is Great Chesterford (on the London liverpool street to Cambridge line) and takes 15 minutes in a car/taxi.

We do recommend using our Facebook event group to try and find taxi shares, an 8 seater taxi will cost £49 from central Cambridge and a 4 seater taxi will cost £39, some taxis from London cost as little as £100.   It is not safe to walk to the site from any direction as the A1307 is a very busy road.

Is there a cash point onsite?

There is no cash point onsite.  All of our bars and traders accept card.

Are there tickets on the door?

We expect to be sold out by then and no ticktes on the door.

I'm camping, what is there in the camping field?

Just toilets for now and access to drinking water and water to wash hands etc.  Bring a large bottle to fill with water to keep water in your tent as we are spacing everyone out and you may be a little walk away from the water unit.  We´re afraid no boom box or large sound systems on the campsite.  No naked flames at all. Strictly no cars in the camping field, they must be left in the car park. We ask that campers leave by midday the next day and take all their rubbish with them, we will provide rubbish bags at the campsite hub.  We have 2 security in the campsite who will have to shut down any loud music or tent hopping ( you must remain in your group of up to 6)

What food traders can I expect?

Warm & Toastie, The Cook's Nest (greek food), Pink Nachos, Waffle and Co, Road Dogs, Funky Elephant

What shall I bring to Spaced out Weekend?

Bring happy, smiley festival vibes. We also think a picnic blanket could be handy for relaxing in the day in and around the woods or to use at peak times to sit at The Sundown Stage.  Don't forget a water bottle to fill up at our drinking water points.
